The Alamo
This new series reimagines vintage postcards of buildings and cityscapes through hand-stitched patterns that speak to regrowth and renewal.
Each piece features architectural scenes—once still and static—now blooming with embroidered life. Using thread like roots and vines, I stitch into walls and windows, layering vibrant new patterns that reflect resilience, change, and quiet transformation.
What was once fixed becomes fluid, reworked through color, texture, and care—suggesting that even the most rigid structures can hold space for something new to grow.
This postcard measures approximately 3.5" × 5.5", and will arrive unframed, signed and dated in pencil on the back.
Please note: Due to the postcard’s age, there is some natural discoloration and minor wear along the edges, as shown in the photos. These imperfections are part of the piece’s vintage character and history.
